I’m Such A Cynic
As you can imagine by looking at my photo on the Facebook widget I’ve been around the horn a few times. In fact, more times than I want to remember. I’m pretty cynical about all the Internet Marketing “Make Money” programs. Why am I so cynical? You know why! Maybe like you I’ve been burnt so many times my self-esteem looks like that hamburger you forgot take off the grill two hours ago.
Blog Success Sucks?
Blog Success is a morphed-up version of Jack Humphrey’s (The Friday Traffic Report) original program called the Authority Site Center (ASC). I received the obligatory 500 invitations from every wannabe internet millionaire to join ASC back at its beginning. I declined all of them. A little research of ASC told me there wasn’t enough meat on the bone.
Heres’ what the ad copy for Blog Success says:
” We take your desire and passion and show you how to use it to produce a web presence that is attractive, addictive, and that gets people talking… As you grow your presence, you start making more and more money. We show you every detail of what the pro bloggers did to get where they are today. Even the ones making from $100,000 to over $1,000,000 per month in revenue!”
Here’s what I say:
I joined Blog Success! Blog Success is the only “make money blogging” training program I’ll probably give two thumbs up to. So far I haven’t found anyone that has put together a more comprehensive blog training program than Jack has done with Blog Success.
Sixty Days To Success?
The training focuses on completing a set number of tasks each day for 60 days. You might complete some of the tasks in an hour or less. Others may very well take you a day to complete. It mostly depends on your current skill level and knowledge of blogging and blogging platforms.
The training covers all five majors aspects of creating and maintaining a successful blog:
- Blogging Mindset – Bloggers that blog for a living know just how critical this to success.
- Blog Post Content – Like anything on the web, content is still king. And, will be until Google decides squeeze pages are king (not likely to happen this year).
- Getting Traffic – No matter how great the content if you don’t know how to get it to people, you’re screwed.
- Monetizing Your Blog – If you want to make money from your blog, you CAN. Some folks don’t and that’s okay, too. Oh, maybe enough to pay for your web hosting.
- Technical Assistance – Forums, Buzz Groups, Videos, Examples, Software and a lot more.
In fact, there’s so much stuff at Blog Success they’ve created a bookmarking feature that lets you find the exact place you left-off in your lessons or browsing. I’ve bookmarked eight locations, already.
What’s Wrong With Blog Success?
The thing I found most disturbing, in a good way, is there so much there that it can be a little overwhelming at the beginning. The critical thing to do is follow the 60 day plan. Stick with it and you’ll be just fine.
Who Should Get Into Blog Success?
It’s designed for the folks that want to become the next John Chow, ShoeMoney or Yanik Silver.
Of course, if you just want to learn how to properly setup and run a high traffic blog for social reasons you can do that to. Just skip the monetizing lessons. However, the monthly dues are $97.00 and it might be worth getting that amount back each month.
Conclusion
