12 SEO Tips To Improve Your Business Blog

Have a content strategy, and arrange it around your topic/focus. A blog isn’t a one-time post, it’s an ongoing project and you need to populate it with relevant content on an ongoing basis.
Don’t forget to optimize images, video and audio files with relevant, keyword-rich metadata.
Don’t forget to link – outbound links beget inbound links!
Add automatically deep links to your RSS feed footer by using RSS Footer
Set your Feedburner options to optimize click tracking for SE rankings / Use Mybrand services or Pingshot.
Invite contributors to participate in your blog, and play the news game; set the right folder/article url/xml newsmap structure, and submit your articles to Google News.
Keep your overall SEO strategy in mind – put keywords in your blog posts.
Make sure your feed is operational and that you have the auto-discover code for the feed in place.
Create original content that engages your audience – content they can’t get anywhere else.
Write clear keyword rich titles like “10 Secrets To Writing Great Headlines”.
Be timely and go with current events, write about gift ideas in November and December not June and July.
Engage your readers with open ended posts or questions.

I always lol at the phrase “create original content” (#9) when someone spews it out of their unoriginal mind and mouth. If you know anything about Google and Yahoo search you know they have a tendency to disfavor duplicate content. How f**king stupid is that? Why does it matter to the search engines where the information comes from as long as the searcher finds what they want. Yea, yea, yea! I hear you screaming “copyrights”.The asshole stole my material. Here’s a news flash for you – change a few words and it’s not yours any longer. Change 20% to 30% and Google f**cking loves it.

Well, just how original can content be? Have you thought of something no one else in the entire world has? Are you a friggin Einstein and nobody knows except you. Well, get your ass a blog and start telling the rest of the world. We’re all anxiously waiting to hear your original thoughts. So, if you don’t have a completely original thought to create content from, are you suppose to keep your mouth shut until an original idea tries to form in your feeble brain.

Maybe that’s not a bad idea. Things would quiet down real quick. Of course Twitter would dissappear within 24 hours along with every other social network site. Don’t you just hate the SOBs that keep tweeting quotes from dead people or lyrics from music? WTF is that all about? I’ll tell you what it’s about – NO ORIGINAL CONTENT.

I’m just sayin’ there are no original thoughts and therefore no original content. Everything that needs to be said as been said. If you think you can form some original content, try spewing it out here and my readers can judge it. Otherwise, shut TFU or Google might penalize you.
